We got great value for our money at Middlegate Cottage. The room was cozy, well-stocked, and had a lovely log burner for those chilly evenings. The location was perfect, with plenty of walks right on our doorstep and the charming town of Hawes just a short walk away. The staff were friendly and provided excellent communication throughout our stay.
The hotel breakfast menu could have had a bit more variety.

The location of this cottage was fantastic, with plenty of beautiful walks through the surrounding fields. It was also conveniently close to a charming village, making it easy to explore and enjoy the local area. Another advantage was the comfort of the cottage itself, from the cozy beds to the well-equipped amenities.
The lack of parking was a major inconvenience. Despite the information provided stating that there was parking available, this turned out to be untrue.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, character-filled cottage. The log burner in the evenings created a lovely atmosphere, and the well-stocked box of games and books kept us entertained. The location was fantastic for exploring the village and going on walks. Despite the wet weather, the path through the fields to the village was easy to navigate, with just a torch needed. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and the beds were particularly comfortable. Our host was friendly and responsive, even leaving a basket of goodies for us upon arrival. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a nice selection of books and DVDs in case the weather turned bad. The cottage truly felt like a home away from home.
The biggest drawback for me was the dangerous stairs. They definitely needed handrails on both sides for safety.

It was also conveniently close to the nearby town for shops and pubs. the cottage itself was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.
Parking was a major issue, despite the information provided stating that there was parking available. Communication could have been better, as the responses seemed to be the same generic message regardless of the question asked.
